A Subject you enjoy studying this semester

More than a subject, is a course that I really like, it's called cinema fórum, consists of watching movies and commenting them at the end of the class.
I like it, more than for the movies, it is for my classmates and what they have for say. We are all different races so I ee the different ways of appreciating the cinema.

There are some of theatrical scenes that are fixed in the direction of the movie's art, others of theater that are fixed in the performance, others in music that are fixed in the soundtrack of the film, others of chemistry that are fixed in if it has a good argument or not and I who am the only one of cinema I fix everything andcomplement my observations and appreciations with the opinions of my classmates.

Is a way of seeing cinema very enriching, because however boring the film is always someone has something to say about it, and that's it changes my way of seeing the movie and I wonder: why he or she will have seen that and I will not?
Must be because each person is a film, we all have our genre, our tratment, purrpose and that is why we percieve the world and art in different ways.

"Evaluation of your Blogging Experience"

I think the blog was a difficult job for me since I never write much less in English.
I think it was not so difficult, since my English of Tarzan was always corrected by the teacher or online

Now apparently I write better or try, but I think I still have much to improve in writing and speaking. However I believe that with the passage of the course I understand 100% English when I speak and when I watch films without subtitles I understand almost everything and that is a victory or achievement for me.

I would like to write more about other things than my career, since I always talk about her or being in college makes you talk about what you study which I find a little tedious. I think we could write more about the contingency or some particular issue, rather than what we do, since that is what we are going to talk about and write down for the rest of our lives (if we practice professionally what we are studying). But we do not only write about it either, so I find it's okay to vary the topics, talk about what you "know" and what you do not.

Erwin Schrödinger

Erwin Schrödinger

Is an Austrian physicist who made important contributions to quantum mechanics and thermodynamics.
Although it has nothing to do with what I study, I admire his contribution to humanity more than a century ago. I have always thought that people who consume drugs can see beyond the tangible and probably their discoveries were thought by other people previously, Erick had the podium to make it public and spread it

I do not need to study physics to impress and amaze myself with quantum physics
and the cat experiment is what I have always thought: "this dimension is full of probabilities which are revealed as you make decisions in your life" and those decisions mark in what line and dimension you follow, like the cat, that is 100% alive and 100% dead at a time, until the box is opened and it is duele which course followed.

I believe that the universe and life is full of amazing and wonderful things and what I see, feel and touch can not be everything, it is obvious that there is more but I can not go further if I follow the positivist logic.

Humans have taught us to be in a way, to behave in a way and even to feel in a way, since to feel different makes you a bad person, for example hate, or mockery.

This is why this physicist draws my attention so much, because he verified in an "empirical" way something in what I think since 2010, he thought it 100 years ago.

Crisis at JGM

Crisis At JGM

I have been in this "institution" for five years and every year we have had problems, except for 2014, but not because there were not, but because they did not complain.

It seem to me unacceptable that we pay a tuition of 5 million pesos and we do not have equipment or some monetary contribution to carry out our projects (in the case of cinema) or that they do not pay the salaries to the teachers in their corresponding dates.

In these 5 years my thinking about the solutions in the educational system or in the functioning of this university has become pessimistic. So much time lost in "strikes" with small victories it's frustrating and now that I'm in 5th, I'm only interested in leaving soon... yes, my thinking has also become individualistic which also depresses me, but i cannot lie to myself.

As a student of an artistic career, I demand that the money in this university be distributed in a way proportionate to the tuition and not for profitability, since everything goes to medicine or economy because a the state's interest to promote traditional careers so that its system is still working, instead of enhancing art and making people think and reflect.

I know that everything is unfair but I got bored of fighting for it, or not really fighting, I will always fight for social injustices, but the "strike" is not the solution, because no one cares.
We must take more radical measures so our demands can be heard and improve our infrastructure as well too.

Feminism

I would like to think that feminism arose because of the lack of gender equality and not because they kill us daily. I believe that the Chilean government, and other Latin American states have not taken charge of the abuses, discrimination and harassment that women live day by day.

This seems me absurd since our president is a woman and the chamber of deputies and senators is full of women who do not assert our rights.
Since we are little we are taught to compete between us and to be feminine and delicate, which I find stupid and that is why I do not think it is strange that there are so many male sexist women around me, it’s so sad.
I have always considered myself a feminist, since I was little: asking questions that no one answered, for example “why the is the pope a man? (I studied in a catholic school), or why I can’t have toy cars and just barbies and so many more things.

I’m thankful for the parents I have, as they never forced me to wear dresses or girly things and let me be free since my childhood.

I hope that feminism someday achieves gender equity and we can be free and feel secure in any space or territory. But much remains to be done and I hope to remain part of it.

the technology only makes me useless

While it is true that we are in a technological age, I feel that it takes some things away and it gives us others. On the one hand it helps us to simplify life: we can find tutorials of all kinds, do everything, watch everything, whatever; but but every day makes us lazy we do not know how to do even half the things that humans did before: Identify plants or trees, visit your friends or neighbors.

Saves us paperwork and time like paying bills but, everything is more distant, the relationship between people are colder and more artificial, everyone is worried about the image they project on facebook, instagram or whatsapp. That bothers me, but even more angering me to be part of it and not being able to stay on the sidelines since society is governed by that: teachers communicate by email, my friends use whatsapp but they do not talk to me among others.

I think I still have to get used to it, since technology is growing and there is nothing left to grow with it.

Why did I choose this career?

I chose this career because I have always liked movies, but I never saw “cinema” as a career but as a hobby.
When I studied nursing, I realized that medicine was not my thing, neither mathematics nor chemistry.  I mean all the electives of the school were in vain and I realized that I liked the art and all its forms, art is the best legacy we can leave as heritage and can be used to improve society. Then I remembered that I love watching movies, especially those of independent cinema, but I watch all genres.

Once I graduate my plan is to start rural film schools for girls and boys, in the south of the country.  Being from the south it bothers me the centralization of the cinema in Chile and I feel that this would be a way to combat this since all people have stories to tell, not just the “Santiaguinos”
